Chris Klemens Pittsburgh Concert reviews
He's getting old and tired
The show, overall, was a good one and I'm glad I went, but I don't think I'd do it again. Chris Klemens stood at the front of the stage rather lifeless, lacking the energy I'd hoped for. He was counting on the band and the 4 Seasons, who probably weren't born at the time Frankie had his big hits, to provide the crowd with energy. The show started very slowly in the first half, and I was afraid that was going to be as good as it got. However, the show got much better with Chris singing Grease and his solos were really great. Finally, when he hit the 60s tunes like Sherry, Walk Like a Man, Big Girls Don't Cry, and Ragdoll, the show took off. I wish he had sung the entire song of Bye Bye Baby, rather than just the refrain. He didn't seem excited about the performance.
